From what I know about them, their senior management gives to both repubs and Democrats. Like a lot of regulated industries, they keep on the 'good side" of both parties. So, for example, Malone gives mostly to repubs, but also has donated to Inouye, Kerry, Rockefeller. Other members of senior management, like the Senior VP, give almost exclusively to Democrats. And I think all of them have donated to Bennett. The same is true, I might add, for Dish. Ergen gives more to Democrats than to repubs, but he's given to grassley, mccain, kyl, etc. as well.

I've seen little indication that any of these folks are particularly partisan or ideological. All they really care about is making money.
