Of course they didn't. People never do. Not too long ago around here, two people robbed a man and woman at gunpoint, and then shot and killed the man, leaving the woman unharmed. Why did they kill him--he had already given them money. Having shot him, why would they leave a witness behind? It doesn't make sense. Yet nobody suspected the woman of shooting the guy herself.
