55. Which Democratic candidate should DCCC NOT support?
Edited on Thu Oct-21-10 08:28 PM by brooklynite
I know a lot of people here get angry about the Party supporting candidates who aren't as progressive as they are, but, with a week out, the candidates have all been selected, and at this point, DCCC isn't thinking ideology, it's thinking viability. This district is now rated "leaning Republican" and 538 calculates a 68% likelihood of it flipping to the Republicans. A dollar given to a candidate who's -not- perceived as viable is a dollar -not- given to a strong candidate.

By my analysis, there are 52 other candidates, all of whom supported HCR and DADT repeal, who are fighting for their lives. DCCC doesn't have enough money to support all of them. I want them to put their money where it will do the most good, not to "make a statement".

(speaking as someone who -has- contributed to Alan Grayson - and 32 other candidates)
