4. A dig? Is Mexican a slur?
Mexico is home of the richest person in the world. They are less fortunate because their country refuses to do for them, instead sending them north to wire home remittances - via the giant telecom company which aforementioned rich guy owns.

I'm not inferring that they should go to the country in which they are citizens. I'm saying it. And I'm also not making "a dig" at people who come here illegally. I'm saying that too.

There is a bright line which defines US citizenship. Naturalization or birth. "I feel like an american" doesn't cut it. Anyone born here is entitled to every protection you and I are. Anyone not born here (or having been naturalized) is a guest entitled to the degree of our hospitality we see fit.

If the problem is that a person born in Mexico isn't recognized as Mexican by their government (or insert any "less fortunate" country of your choice) that has little to do with me.
