I will say, however, that since the Republican governor of this state took office and went on a frenzy of tax-cutting, our infrastructure has been steadily disintegrating. This used to be one of the best, cleanest, most well-maintained states in the country. Now the roads are full of potholes and the schools are crumbling. You get what you pay for. Whether this bridge collapse can be attributed directly to neglect due to lack of funds remains to be seen. But I wouldn't be surprised...
