You said that, and that's why I remarked that 17-kid families have never been the norm.

Yeah, I could look up the stats, but why should I bother? Even in countries with the highest birthrates and little contraceptive use today, you certainly don't see many families that large.

Your claim was that at one time, a family like the Duggars would have been "more of the norm", and I merely contradicted you on that point. That's all. Which is why your subsequent torrent of shrill ranting is irrelevant to what I actually said.
