SO, A "Charitable Organization" (The SITE Institute) Released the Bin Laden Video...

I find it amazing that the release of this video, supposedly by Al Qaeda, was intercepted and released by a PRIVATE CHARITABLE organization run by TWO PEOPLE, one of which is an Israeli who is a self proclaimed terrorist expert. I say self proclaimed because she was called in as a witness by the gov't in the trial against Al-Hussayen and they were not allowed to call her an expert witness. Al-Hussayen was acquitted of all charges even though he had been detained for over a year and a half (for more info, see: http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=SITE_Institute )

How is it that this two run CHARITABLE organization intercepted Bin Laden's latest video message to America, and yet Al Jazeera and the CIA did not catch it nor release it to the public?

Maybe it's because between 2003 and 2004 the SITE Institute earned more than $500,000 from the GOVERNMENT (2003 tax return here: http://tfcny.fdncenter.org/990_pdf_archive/481/481266327/481266327_200312_990.pdf and 2004 return here: http://tfcny.fdncenter.org/990_pdf_archive/481/481266327/481266327_200412_990.pdf )

Note in the returns that in 2004 over $273,000 came directly from taxpayers.

I don't find it surprising that they have removed the link from their list of articles to their very first article published on March 15th, 2003 (what an interesting time to make a splash for your new organization) about Al-Hussayen and their discovery of his alleged funding of terrorism which happened to be completely WRONG. Unfortunately for them it's out there on the Internets and google helped me find the article, still on their site, here: http://siteinstitute.org/bin/articles.cgi?ID=inthenews2403&Category=inthenews&Subcategory=0

Their supposedly complete list of publications is here: http://www.siteinstitute.biz/bin/headlines.cgi?Category=publications&Subcategory=0&Rank=2861&sort=newest&Mode=List

If I were them, I'd be embarrassed to show that too, as it led to the unlawful imprisonment of Al-Hussayen for over a year and a half. In fact, I'd be sooo embarrassed that I wouldn't be releasing "videos" of Bin Laden to the World from a website with the same name of the organization. And if I were the government, I sure as hell wouldn't be paying them hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to "monitor" the news for terrorism... that is unless I was Bush and needed a timely reminder of Bin Laden who just so happens to mention Iraq right on the heels of 9/11 and the Petrayus report.

Can anyone bring themselves to trust the authenticity of this video that was released by such a BOGUS ORGANIZATION as the SITE INSTITUTE?!?!

ON EDIT: If you read the Source Watch article, Katz confesses to receiving over $150,000 as a paid consultant from the FBI. That must be money granted outside the SITE Institute since she claims only to directly receive about 40,000 a year from the organization in salary (why does she need a salary from a non-profit if she's got consulting contracts with the gov?)
