that shows a direct manipulation. The still frames are an obvious avoidance to tamper with the original video. Whenever you modify bits and recompress them into the stream, it creates artifacts. These multiple compression layers can be discovered. There are other hints and clues that can be garnered, for example, data stamping that is performed by the encoding application, which may yield info about who made the video, if they aren't careful enough to spoof it all.
