3. The Dems have had great candidates for a long time now.
Ever hear of Max Cleland, the decorated Vietnam War vet? Ever hear of Mondale in MN? Strickland in CO? How about John Kerry? These and many others are great Dems, yet they lost largely or to a considerable degree because of the voting machines and nobody (or very few) came to their defense, even when the results were so skewed as to defy all reason, and this was all over the country mind you, just in 2002. There are, I bet, literally hundreds of other races where the likelihood is much greater that the Dem won than the Repub, but nobody bothered to audit the vote or recount or even question it.
