Enron planned schemes in advance (newspaper article title) and -created- power shortages and blackouts in CA; people blamed the governor and someone created a recall election, allowing a Republican lackey and Enron friend into office in our very blue state.

Create enough of a problem, even if someone else has to take care of it, and people will want massive change, even if it allows another Republican to get in.

I really don't care very much for knowing how these things think. It doesn't wash off.
