or had some other sort of disability - then yes it was the entire school district's fault for not catching it.

That's the purpose of public education, to give everybody an equal opportunity. Our district gets $12 million dollars a year to educate 1300 kids. Every child ought to be prepared to go to college when they graduate high school. Every child because even the kids with learning disabilities and intellectual disabilities will get assistance at the college level too.

If they want to pursue another career path, fine. But everybody ought to be able to manage freshman level college courses at a community college. EVERYBODY.
