An appropriate time to be concerned would be when this economic mess is behind us. That does not mean we do nothing at all, but that now is not the time to impose punitive taxes to force people to go green. Now is not the time to force people to spend 4 or 5 dollars instead of a buck for a new lightbulb. etc... The planet is not going to die if we concentrate on the economy for a year or so, but I guarantee you that global warming will mean nothing if the economy tanks.
You should not assume I have doubts simply because I do not have an alarmist attitude.
