There's probably other psychological stuff inside that psycho stuff---emasculated incompetent man seeks to feel like a man by firing off his guns; powerless loser tries to "cure" his powerlessness by affecting change or making his mark on a community that overwhelms his identity. But it's obviously worse than mere graffiti.
