...given at a high school thirty some years ago.

Fifty-something bureaucrat type, fire-hydrant-shaped, in suit. approaches microphone. Taps.

"Good morning.

I am personally responsible for every case of gonorrhea and syphilis in Massachusetts."

Counts 1, 2, 3.

"I'm Dr. Nicholas Fiumara, from the infectious disease section of the Mass Department of Public Health."

The place went wild. We listened with rapt attention thereafter.
