Which was only put in place because FDR realized the threat but couldn't get shit through congress because a large portion of upper crust yanks loved them some Nazi's, and the rest of the country was too focused on their own navels to notice shit. It wasn't until you were bombed personally that we bestired our lazy asses. And we were very lucky as well. If midway didn't tip our way and if the Russians hadn't fought on the eastern front, and if the former commonwealth countries sacrifice LOTS in order to stop the fascists while the US twiddled it's "thumbs," well.....

THe US didn't singlehandedly bail anyone out. We JOINED the fight. And we JOINED it almost 2 years too late.
