6. Well, frankly the Democratic party has gone to hell over the past thirty plus years
Their offerings, in terms of leadership, political stances and personell has been abysmal. Token resistance to Reagan/Bush followed by Clinton, one of the best Republican presidents we've seen in a long while.

The Democrats have, far the most part, sold out to the highest bidder and now only mouth pious platitudes about helping the people in this country, but do nothing to back up their blather. Where once we got crumbs from the table, we now get attacked.

While the liberal elite and the Democratic party might fail, liberalism will endure. Liberalism comes from the soul of our society, the best of mankind. It is based on our ongoing quest for life, liberty and justice for all. It will arise from the people, as a movement of the people, as it always does. Hell, it might just be the movement that sweeps away the Democratic party, the liberal elite, along with the corporate elite and conservative minority.

Never give up hope on that.
