2. KUDOS TO MIKA! PLUS NEW BOOK ON FIDEL OUT IN ENGLISH
Mika, thanks so much for getting the URL for Counterpunch that has all 4 of the Fidel reflections on Lula together.

Also, on Thursday, Scribner presented the English version hot off the press of "100 hours with Fidel" to the Cuban Mission at the UN. Article below, but go to the URL to see the cover of the book - fabulous!

"100 Hours with Fidel" in the English Edition was Presented at the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in the United Nations.

An English edition of the book "100 Hours with Fidel", by Spanish-French writer and journalist Ignacio Ramonet, presented by the US publishing house Scribner on Thursday

The website of the Cuban News Agency published this Friday that during the ceremony, attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited before the international body, publishers and personalities, the Cuban ambassador to the United Nations, Rodrigo Malmierca, said that this volume is not a classic biography.

"Fidel Castro refers to all topics, even those that some people would describe as controversial," the ambassador pointed out.

On behalf of Scribner, a publishing house founded in 1846 that is part of the renowned firm Simon and Schuster, Colin Robinson said that he was proud of the publication of this book that "will be, for a long time, an essential historic and political document".

Speaking during the presentation of the book, published in English under the name "Fidel Castro:My Life," Robinson praised Fidel's discipline in revising the text, a habit, he said, he wished all writers had.

"The arrogant position of the US government towards the Cuban Revolution has always seem partial and stubborn to me," he stressed.

The Cuban on-line agency highlights that Colin Robinson also described Washington's blockade to the island as unjust and regretted that none of the presidential candidates in the United States has so far rejected this arbitrary measure.
