Thanks to these programs, we're getting a Fisker plant here in Delaware (it'll be the competition to Tesla). In the past 5 years we saw 2 of our plants, a GM and a Chrysler(which btw back in the 60's, Reggae legend Bob Marley use to work at that plant) shut down - putting 1000s of union employees out of work.

The Chryler plant was sold to the University of Delaware but the Fisker plant will help provide jobs to many of those Union members who want to stay in the area and get back to work. It's the perfect location for an automotive plant too. The GM plant has railroad tracks running right thru it - so new cars can be loaded and shipped up north to states that not only have the income to buy these cars (they'll be priced to complete with Lexus/Acura/BMW/Mercedes) but more likely to find the mentality of people who want environmentally friendly cars!
