DD is one of the kindest posters I have observed anywhere; and I have posted on various boards since about 2004.

He is also one of the most politically reasonable posters I have come across, recognizing problems and maintaining his principles, but also supporting his candidates like nobody's business anyway.

He is also one of the bravest people I have come across.

Imagine living your life as a Native American liberal Democrat who is Christian and out gay. I cannot imagine the stuff he has had to put up with from society in general, from his fellow Christians because he is both liberal and gay, and from his fellow gays because he is Christian.

I cannot even begin to think about that totality without instinctively wanting to go into a fetal position. But DD does come across as living in a fetal position. He comes across as working and living always for what he believes in.

The fact that he can do that--and remind as kind and accepting of each of us and of everyone else--as he is just boggles my mind! And far from whining or giing up, he is unfailingly pleasant and engaged in life. How can you not love and admire him?

Each DU2er is, for different reasons, my hero. And DD certainly is no exception. Stay strong and be happy, friend!
