excited that he was all but jumping up and down. Not exactly professional journalistic demeanor.

That was not long after he had been graduated from college, though. He was then called something like "special youth commentator" or something bizarre like that. He has simma'd down since then and is learning to be more insidiously biased, instead of overtly biased. Like father, like son, ya might say.

In fairness to Luke, one of our Boston 5 reporters, Boston 5 being the station where Scott Brown's wife worked, did physically jump up and down with glee as she was reporting from Brown's post election hotel ballroom that Brown was about to approach the mike to declare victory. And she was far from new on the job.

Sigh.

And Republicans think mass media is liberal.

Double sigh.

BTW, I may have mentioned this before, or you may know it, but the meme about corporate media being liberal (like, you know, Hearst and Nast :sarcasm:) began because media finally began reporting that civil rights activists were getting brutalized by the likes of Bull Connor.

Apparently, showing on TV that African Americans got fire hoses turned on them, knocking them clear off their feet, while they tried to (gasp) register to vote has a liberal bias.

Triple sigh.

And, of course, the more things change, the more they remain the same. We've gone from Constitutional disabliity as to voting voting to fire hoses to ID requirements.

Lord, I have to stop here before I depress myself any further. Sighing can do only so much to release frustration. Oh wait: maybe this will do the trick.

:banghead:
