21. So because he didn't interfere in a state labor issue
Edited on Wed Apr-06-11 01:21 AM by Arkana
suddenly he's anti-labor?

Look at what the labor movement in Wisconsin is accomplishing. They're scaring the hell out of the GOP--so much so that the spin machine has gone into fifth gear and it's showing signs of burning out. They've constructed a massive recall effort encompassing 8 GOP state senators and the governor himself. Public opinion is OVERWHELMINGLY on their side.

Now tell me with a straight face that they could have accomplished all this if they were constantly being lambasted by the (non-Fox) media as "Obama's puppets" because the President had set up camp in front of the Wisconsin statehouse. Yeah, sure, he'll walk that picket line! Oh, almost forgot the detail of 20 Secret Service agents that follow him everywhere. Also, gotta scope the site of the protest first to study entrances, exits, and potential spots for would-be assassins. Position snipers on the roofs.

Oh, right--gotta set up metal detectors too! Wouldn't be good if someone William McKinley'd Obama, would it? Just walked up to him to shake his hand, then popping him twice in the stomach.

How is it a protest now and not an OFA rally? How is the movement still grassroots if the President gets involved? There is no room for spontaneity. No room for ANYTHING as long as Obama is there, because he sucks the air out of every room he's in.

And you tell me what's harder for the RW media to demonize--the President, or thousands of pissed-off teachers, cops, and firefighters?
