Without the internet and it's netizens I do believe that not only would MSM would have never covered it, but the local officials would never have investigated. However, as a Texan with long experience in Texas Justice, I am biased - perhaps such savagery would have touched Rockport's heart in any event. Wouldn't want to bet on that though.
