I keep talking shit about the lighting, so I'll give you a concrete example of how bad it was: They sell a product called neutral density gel. It's basically gray plastic wrap. If you have a big window behind an actor you put neutral density gel on the other side of it so the light from the window doesn't overpower the lights on the set. These guys didn't use ND gel and as a result the windows, which were in a lot of scenes (when you're just renting the cheapest rooms you can find, you take what you can get), just blew out the whole scene.
