45. I'm not a royalist. But ....
if the wedding of Wills & Kate makes a lot of people happy, I have no problem with it. It's also going to bring in lots of tourism revenue - that will largely outweigh the costs - for a financially strapped country. And it is a good spectacle, for those who love such things.

Their whole lives will be led in the spotlight. They will never really have the same private lives that we all have, or at least, used to have.

The cage may be gilded, but it is still a cage. It is also the British people's place to complain, if any complaints are warranted. Not ours.
