Iraqi Interior Ministry official assassinated by gunmen in Al-Dura
BAGHDAD, March 6 (KUNA) -- A top official of the Iraqi Interior Ministry in Al-Dura area, south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, was assassinated by unidentified gunmen Sunday, Iraqi police sources said Sunday.

Requesting anonymity, the sources told KUNA that the gunmen opened fire at the convoy of an official in the Interior Ministry, who is in charge of the Office of Protecting the Remote Roads, Brigadier Akram Mohammed killing him immediately and wounded two of his companions.

Interior Ministry Spokesman announced yesterday that the police found the dead body of Police Commander Brigadier Hatab Zerib who was killed near his house in a town east of Al-Diwaniyah province.

Multi-National Forces spokeswoman told KUNA yesterday that the gunmen escaped to an unknown destination after assassinating Hatab, noting that the MNF patrols are roaming Al-Diwaniyah looking for the gunmen.

5. in any event I can't help but notice...
It is like Iraq does not exist today. ICC has 1510 dead soldiers. Now where those last two came from I have no clue. I have searched and found nothing. Now I did find this fine piece of US journalistic propaganda at its finest...

Warning, don't eat before reading it... :puke:

I notice Tom Friedman has lent his name to that babble.

I've seen the same memes here and there from the imperial
mouthpieces today. I suppose you could say at this point
they have been reduced to attacks on former friends and
wishful thinking in order to justify the mess in Iraq.
