Bush: 'I Don't Want You Reading My Personal Stuff'
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush said on Thursday he does not send e-mail, not even to his twin daughters, because he fears "my personal stuff" would be made public.
"There has got to be a certain sense of privacy," he told the American Society of Newspaper Editors.

Bush volunteered his aversion to e-mail during a discussion on whether his administration is sufficiently responsive to requests made under the Freedom of Information Act.

Advocates of greater openness in government charge the Bush administration has used the need to guard homeland security as an excuse to keep more information secret.

Bush said the government receives about 3.5 million FOIA requests a year and that he is for open government but does not want information released that could endanger lives.

"I would hope that those who expose documents are wise about the difference between that which truly would jeopardize national security and that which should be read," he said.

I don't want YOU reading MY personal stuff, either!

I guess the Patriot Act only applies to us, and not to him. And the chances of his private emails to his daughters being subjected to a FOIA request are slim to none.

What a loathesome creature he is. His "stuff", indeed. He can STUFF this.....

4. This English sentence was never spoken by the pResident:
'"I would hope that those who expose documents are wise about the difference between that which truly would jeopardize national security and that which should be read," he said.'

Not his diction, is it?

And this is REUTERS, of the MSM, usually more reliable. What a slippery slope this is. :(

and words (really big words) scare the crap out of him.

It is doubtful that he can even write. Also doubtful that he even knows how to turn on a computer -- someone is always doing things for him -- even his thinking.

49. He also refused to read the August 6 PDB -
leading to Bush and his Administration being asleep at the wheel on 9/11 -- and thus failing America.

Although it should be noted that when the terrorists werre attacking, Bush did find time to waste a half hour by reading "My Pet Goat."

Funny as hell considering he's the one who made surveilence of people's email so easily done.

Not that I really attribute Bush to being able to really even type... I could see him not using email because 'them durn computerz is so darned hard, they don't just listen to him, you know, uh, words, but he's got to use his fingers.'

11. There's Got To Be A CERTAIN SENSE OF PRIVACY?!!!
If irony could kill we'd all be a lot happier! Doesn't look like there's any connection between the brain and the lips here, does it?

The driving force behind the Patriot Act, the Homeland Security racket, the terrorism facade for the greatest destruction of privacy the world has ever known since the Holocaust or Pol Pot, not to mention the invasions on the personal level for women and consumers of health care, is complaining about his privacy being compromised--a self-annointed public figure.

I shake my head in disbelief.

30. Of course he doesn't trust them.....
and they probably would expose him, if only as a drunken prank.

Bush's relationship with his daughters is, by all accounts, pretty bad.
I remember when he was on Dr. Phil shortly before the election, and
the Doc ask him to give examples of private time he spent with his
children. All he could come up with was that he once took one of them to
a baseball game when he owned his team. However, they only went
alone because at the last minute the others scheduled to come bailed
out.

What a dad.

14. So basically he admits that big brother is reading our e-mail and watching
us all. They are really getting ready for the next attack that they will create by locking down this country, planting military on this soil and making Bush dicktator for life. Those who don't comply will end up in a gulag somewhere or worse.

Unbelievable how so many authors and intellects from so many years ago got it so right. How sad to be able to see what is happening all around you and feel so helpless to stop it.

I know this is too easy but...The repugs spent the 8 years before shrub trying to determine what President Bill Clinton did with his penis...but that isn't "personal stuff". What is personal, the War stories shrub sharies with his children about all the booze and coke he did(does). What an ass. Why is he concerned with his "personal stuff" being public?? He would only be concerned about it, if it was bad or illegal (isn't that what they said about Clinton???).

I've figured it all out. He's a fraud. He's not more a born-again Chrstian than my cat. He's a aging frat boy with a foul mouth and cruel but playful tendencies. He is only doing this gig for the money and for his family... he cares about one thing: Baseball. He can't have people around him because they'd find out what a fraud he is... he can't have anything written by him, because they'd find out that 1) he's a total fraud. 2) he doesn't know Pakistan, renewable energy, the Bible, or ANWAR from a hole in his ass.

40. Tell It To TOM DELAY YOU DOUCHEBAG
Mr. Delay thinks you and every American has NO RIGHT TO PRIVACY. So you can fuck off and go to hell you piece of shit.

"I blame Congress over the last 50 to 100 years for not standing up and taking its responsibility given to it by the Constitution. The reason the judiciary has been able to impose a separation of church and state that's nowhere in the Constitution is that Congress didn't stop them. The reason we had judicial review is because Congress didn't stop them. The reason we had a right to privacy is because Congress didn't stop them."
