Iraqi Insurgent Sniper Training Manual found on website (Now with Link)

ABC Nightly News just reported on finding an Iraqi insurgent sniper training manual.

The manual mentions shooting tank gunners and drivers before shooting soldiers in front of the tank. It also mentions shooting civilians that are guarded before shooting the guards as that civilian is somebody important.

Why would they have a "special" one? Guerrillas usually appropriate the tactics of their opponents.

9. All one has to do is go buy a combat manual that's available at most

any Army/Navy store, or sign up for duty and get handed those books to study in order to learn this stuff.

People put this enormous weight on these 'combat manuals', but in reality they're really just common sense. Don't attack forces larger than you without some nasty surprise in plan, recon is valuable, cover and concealment are two entiretly different things, the tank with the most antennae is the command vehicle you'll usually find it somewhat away from battle, apply randomness to attacks, dress like the locals when possible, etc etc
