Denison Man Worries His Grandchildren Were Victimized

Kelly Binning Charged With Sexual Assault On 7-Year-Old

DENISON, Iowa -- A Denison man is worried his grandchildren may be victims after sexual assault charges were filed Monday in the west-Iowa town.

Kelly Binning, 38, of Denison, faces a charge of second-degree sexual assault. He allegedly touched a young girl inappropriately in 2001 when the child was 7 years old.

Binning's wife runs a day care out of their home.

Binning is pastor at a church outside Arion, Iowa. Angelia Granzen has known the Binning family most of her life.

"Very shocking," Granzen said. "It's hard to believe, because he's been such a wonderful member of the community."

God, it gets old to see such rantings even on a liberal site. You'd think the mere fact the he's been charged (or arrested or indicted) means he's actually guilty. Why should we worry about a trial? Let's just shoot him on sight because the *allegation* was made. :eyes:

Denison "Minister" Faces Sex Abuse Charges

He called himself a minister, but law enforcement say he's a sexual predator. 34-year-old Kelly Binning, of Denison, Iowa, is accused of second-degree Sexual Abuse for allegedly fondling a 7-year-old girl.

An investigation into the incident, which allegedly took place four years ago, began May 5th. The alleged victim is now 12-years-old and told a friend that she had been fondled inside her home.

During questioning, police say Binning admitted to touching the child inappropriately. Denison police say he also admitted to fondling two other girls who attend a daycare run by his wife. They're now interviewing parents to make sure Binning has not had sexual contact with any other children.
