Sailor dies in wreck after Blackwater training

MOYOCK, N.C. --A Navy special operations member who had completed training at Blackwater USA's compound in North Carolina died after a traffic accident last week.

The Navy on Friday identified the sailor as Gunner's Mate 1st Class Scott Shaw, a Massachusetts native and diver assigned to Naval Special Warfare Group Two Logistics and Support Unit at Little Creek, Va.

Shaw, 29, died when his Jeep rolled over in a single-vehicle wreck, said Paul Behrends, a Blackwater spokesman.

Shaw, originally from Norwood, Mass., had served 11 years in the Navy. After serving aboard the frigate Carr, he joined Naval Special Warfare Group Two as a diving technician and SEAL support operator.

1. I didn't know soldiers went to private corporations for training

It's one thing to learn a computer pgm/sys like Oracle. But to go a corporation to learn how to kill and stuff... I had no idea about this.

2. Government organizations cannot donate to people who set

them up in business.... private corporations can and do... it's a great system, the Iraqis are going to love it.

They are just sending all tax payers money to their friends. I really do not know why they keep the middle men in the picture. Just send it to the corp and get it over with. As it comes in they could just have the corp. trucks back up to the door and it could just go right to the CEO's and big stock holders. These big wigs in the army are as bad as the rest of them. :crazy: :crazy:

5. I have a friend ex Army working for one of those corps

teaching AF people how to shoot rifles. :) for Iraq. I love it, as ex-Army, they are teaching AF to be guards on trucks.. :)

6. Sorry, we're so busy trying to train Iraqis we can't train our own forces.

Planning courtesy of President AWOL, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Feith and that gang of idiots. Some of those Iraqis we train and equip will use the training and weapons to kill US troops.

7. Yeah, Blackwater has been training military and spec ops

for quite awhile now. I remember posting this info when the Blackwater mercs were killed in Falluja. SEALS do a lot of training at Blackwater.
