CNN, Atlanta: Four U.S. presidents expected at King funeral
Four U.S. presidents expected at King funeral
Tens of thousands brave cold to pay respects, say goodbye
Tuesday, February 7, 2006

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- President Bush and three former presidents are among the 10,000 people expected to attend Coretta Scott King's funeral Tuesday in suburban Atlanta.

Bush, his father and former Presidents Carter and Clinton will be on hand, along with other luminaries such as Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Maya Angelou, and the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

The president ordered federal facilities to fly flags at half-staff Tuesday in honor of King, who died last week at age 78.

Her service is scheduled to begin at noon ET at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, a 10,000-seat church in Lithonia, east of Atlanta. King's younger daughter, Bernice, is a minister there....

***

Tens of thousands of mourners braved a chilly February rain Monday to pay their final respects at Ebenezer Baptist Church -- where her late husband, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., preached before his assassination in 1968....

10. Those racist bigoted two faced bu$hes should NOT be there.
Especially that grinning snearing giggly moron squatter who REFUSES to meet with the NAACP because of his prejudiced beliefs. God,he has no shame but he has balls I'll give him that. He is an IN YOUR FACE pRESIDENT who will do anything to defy everything that is right and good. I hate him so much.

Just look how he bows his head in prayer....his head is almost to his waist. He is so despicable it's sickening. :puke:

4. Are they going to acknowledge W?
If so, the entire congregationm should turn their backs on him. Booing him may seem disrespectful. But then again, W even showing up when his administration is destroying any and all minority rights is disrespectful as well.

7. CLINTON'S and BUSH'S SHARE LIMO TO FUNERAL.
As reported on an Atlanta Radio Station, Bill and Hillary Clinton awaited the landing of Air Force One and then jumped in the limo with President Bush and his wife Laura so the couples could ride together to the funeral of Mrs. King. Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall during that ride? Wow.

8. Clinton!
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 12:42 PM by peaches2003
Bush came in first and was standing on the stage with Laura- silence. Bill Clinton walked in next and the entire congregation erupted in wild applause.

Clinton looked comfortable. Bush looked like a zonked out idiot- smiling like a chimp. He has some nerve speaking- he turned down the invitation to attend when it was to be held at Ebenezer Baptist. Only condescended to come (and speak of all things) when it was moved to the mega-church.
