Miss. Gov. (Barbour) Says He Won't Run for President
JACKSON, Miss. - Republican Gov. Haley Barbour said Tuesday he will not run for president in 2008 because he is too busy with Hurricane Katrina's aftermath.

It was his most definitive statement to date about his political future.

The former GOP national chairman said he intends to seek a second term as governor in 2007.

6. I thought he would run but not get the nomination
he hasn't even completed his first term as govenor and was a former washington lobbyist. He would have been and easy mark.

7. Haley who? Did anyone ask? Does anyone care?
did he just have a driving need to grab some micro second of press coverage? What a non-story.

12. Barbour Might Know Where The Wind Is Blowing
Haley Barbour might have just enough sense to know which way the wind is blowing. If the Republicans bungle the aftermaths of Hurricane Season 2006, Hurricane Season 2007, and Hurricane Season 2008 the same way Buckaroo Bush has bungled the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Repugs couldn't count on a Solid South even WITH Diebold.
