Florida high school rescinds invite to Jerry Springer

SARASOTA, Fla. Sarasota High School cheerleaders will have to find another valentine to headline their dance Saturday, after administrators gave their choice of Jerry Springer an 'F'.

The talk-show host -- who lives in Sarasota -- had accepted an invitation from the school's cheerleaders to headline the "Hollywood Nights" dance. But administrators withdrew the invitation yesterday. They say Springer, whose T-V guests include unfaithful lovers and brawling friends, is not an appropriate role model for students.

The cheerleaders, who sponsor the dance, say they just wanted a local celebrity. The cheerleaders are looking for another host.

1. Schools' administrators have no problem however with students
respecting the role model of a presidential administration that drops megaton bombs on unarmed civilian populations and then lies about it to the entire world.

Springer? A global menace! Run for your lives, cheerleaders!

4. Caution: Humor Free Zone.
It's the neocon version of "political correctness" run amok!!!!

Hide your children.

Might I suggest AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson to the cheerleaders as Springer's replacement? I believe he also lives in the Sarasota area and would no doubt represent the fine family values that the school's administrators are seeking.

10. Perhaps the school administrators...

... would recommend a few remedial reading/writing courses for the AP writer who doesn't know the proper uses for the words "invite" and "invitation". I'll bet Jerry at least knows proper grammar and that alone would make him a great role model in most high schools.
