The Hamilton County GOP executive committee tonight endorsed Steve Chabot, the congressman from Cincinnati's West Side, and bestowed its blessings upon plenty of other local officeholders as well.

But it took no action at all involving Rep. Jean Schmidt, widely known as Mean Jean. Her seven-county 2nd district starts on Cincinnati's East Side and spreads out along the Ohio River...

Party Chairman George Vincent portrayed the non-endorsement as a non-event...

Former State Rep. Bob McEwen, her opponent in the May primary, wasn't buying...

Isn't she a hot mess? The one place I believe in separation of colour is in the teeth. Teeth are supposed to be WHITE and there shouldn't be any other colour there except white. I vote we take up a collection to send girlfriend to a cosmetic dentist. Poor thing, so busy being a harpy that she doesn't notice the technicolour grill. Just say no Jean...JUST.SAY NO!!!

Happened to one of my baby teeth (I fell on a concrete porch when I was a toddler) -- the tooth stayed in place until the new one was ready to grow in when I was 6 or 7.

For an adult though, you would think she'd get a cap or some other cosmetic procedure.

It's funny, though, attitudes about that vary by state. I live in California and I've read that cosmetic dentistry is a bigger deal here than elsewhere. I have an affluent friend in D.C. whose teeth became very brown and mottled for some reason (no tobacco, either) but she never seemed to notice. :shrug:

If Jean wasn't so mean, I doubt we'd even care, right?

She stopped Paul Hackett last time but she's not that effective in Congress, and now the Repubs will find someone else to back.
