TV shows Al Qaeda murders in Waziristan
Afghan television broadcast Friday what it said was exclusive footage of men murdered, some of them beheaded, in Pakistan because they were against the extremist Taliban and Al Qaeda movements.

The images broadcast on the evening news bulletin of private Tolo television station showed the decapitated heads of three men being held up in front of a crowd of onlookers. They also showed several bodies being dragged behind a pick-up truck.

“Crowds are heard chanting ‘long live Osama Bin Laden’ and ‘long live Mullah Omar’,” it said. The men are respectively the leaders of Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Pakistan has for about two years had thousands of troops in the area to root out militants, but some Afghan officials say more needs to be done to remove the extremists hobbling the country’s attempts to rebuild.

1. Hmmm... I seem to remember something about a US led propaganda effort.
Does anyone know if the Tolo TV station derives any operating funds from US or US-back sources?

I'm smelling US Psy-Ops here.

2. Taleban establish 'Islamic State in NW Pakistan'
sometimes they arn't pys-ops ^, wish we could depend on which though :/

New Delhi, February 12: After taking ‘virtual control’ of the entire North Waziristan province of Pakistan, Taliban and al-Qaeda have recently ‘declared’ the establishment of an ‘Islamic state’ in the area and gained a major base for their operations against the US-led forces in Afghanistan, media reports said.

"The Taliban recently declared the establishment of an ‘Islamic state’ in North Waziristan, and they now, through the brutal elimination of criminal elements who previously held sway, in effect rule in the rugged territory," a latest report in Asia Times magazine said.
