U.S. gasoline supplies down sharply
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=7aad7edb42736cbe

U.S. crude oil supplies rose last week by 2.1 million barrels, but gasoline supplies were sharply off, the Energy Department said Wednesday.

snip...
Gasoline supplies dropped by a big 5.4 million barrels in the week ending March 24, the largest drop since the week ending Aug. 22, 2003. Still, they remain above the upper end of their average range for this time of year.

Distillate fuel inventories fell by 2.5 million barrels last week but also remain above the upper end of the average range for this time of year. Most of the decline was in heating oil inventories.

And the prices just keep going up and up...

2. The Diamond Shamrock (gas station) was out of Regular today
--or at least all the Regular pumps were "bagged". Perhaps they were just trying to get customers to purchase the more expensive grades? I personally drove on to the next station. (This was in Rowlett Texas)

4. Sure would save alot of gas if they brought that WarMachine home
.
.
.

But that would require a modicum of intelligence for a government to make a decision like that

And the USA appears to be sorely lacking in the "intelligence" department

(sigh)

5. Gasoline futures rise to highest level in nearly six months
http://english.pravda.ru/news/world/30-03-2006/78054-gasoline-0

Gasoline futures charged to their highest level in nearly six months on Wednesday after the U.S. government released data showing a large decrease in domestic supplies of unleaded gas.

snip...
Gasoline futures rose 6.97 cents to settle at $1.9542 a gallon (3.8 liters) on the New York Mercantile Exchange, just six cents shy of the Oct. 4 settlement of $2.0157. Back then, the U.S. fuel market was grappling with the loss of significant refining capacity in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Light sweet crude for May delivery gained 38 cents to close at $66.45 a barrel, the highest close since Feb. 1 and 23 percent above year-ago levels.
snip...

The outlook on Nigerian oil output remained uncertain. Royal Dutch Shell PLC, the largest foreign oil company operating in the country, has shut in nearly half of its Nigerian production and says it won't resume operations until the country is safe enough for its workers.

Iran, the No. 2 oil producer in OPEC, also remains a potential source of concern. It has been referred to the U.N. Security Council over fears it may want to misuse its nuclear program to make weapons, but the council has been at loggerheads over U.S.-led efforts to ratchet up the pressure on Tehran, reports AP.

6. Pack of f-ing thieves, this lot
Prices rise on anticipation of crisis. Although response to the crisis to ameliorate supply problems lies in the hands of the producer.

Thieves.

11. It's never the greed, never the stupidity, never the schmuck in the WH
who's always more clueless than Forest Gump and Gomer Pyle. Who could of imagined if you let the oil mafia in the WH you'd have war and high gas prices. These thieves are sinking middle America fast. You notice how it's okay for working people to pay more for housing, more for medical care (if they can even afford any), more for gas and more for food, but god forbid their wages go up. That's inflation! When (if) that happens, they'll have to squeeze it out of the economy.

We can't afford 3 more years of the disaster in Washington.
