LONDON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - A British soldier has been killed and another
wounded in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, the Ministry of Defence said
on Monday.

A spokeswoman said a "soldier from the Royal Army Medical Corps was killed
and another seriously injured following an indirect fire attack on a
multinational forces base in Basra city".

The attack took place on Sunday. The injured soldier was receiving medical
treatment, she said. No further details were available.

Britain has around 7,200 troops in southern Iraq, mostly stationed in and
around Basra.

1. Pile another one on the foreign pile

Grass Bush

Pile the bodies high in Austerlitz and Waterloo Iraq
Shovel them under and let me work--
I am the grass; bush; I cover all.

And pile them high in Gettyburg Baghdad
And pile them high in Ypres and Vedum Mossoul and Al Fallaujah

Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
What place is this?

I am the grass bush.
Let me work.
