NEW YORK (AP) -- Just days after its release, Bob Woodward's ''State of Denial'' has already gone into its third printing, with 900,000 copies in print for the latest, and harshest, chronicle of the Bush administration by the celebrated Washington Post reporter.

''Sales are VERY strong out of the gate!'' Simon & Schuster publicist Victoria Meyer said Monday.

Woodward's book, which portrays President Bush as intransigent in his defense of the Iraq war and his advisers as bitterly divided, has topped the best seller lists of Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com for days and has helped sales of other books critical of the president, including Thomas Ricks' ''Fiasco'' and Frank Rich's ''The Greatest Story Ever Sold.''...

30% off. Even the first Chapter is pretty riveting! Starts off when bush is Guv. and the influence of Bandar and the Bushies. Aready started planning his cabinet at that time, meeting with Rice. Bandar was surprised that Bush was so sure he would be the next Prez. This is in the first few pages.

4. Fantastic news

I ordered two copies from Amazon, along with additional copies of "One Percent Doctrine," "Hubris" and "Fiasco." I was discussing Woodward's book today and my view was that Woodward's voice was more important because 1) His first two volumes were so synchophantic and 2) because his book would be a best-seller, but that privately I worried that "Fiasco" and other books were the better books. So the fact that sales of Woodward's book will raise attention to the other great books is fantastic news to me.
