Amid questions, ABC says messages 'couldn't be a prank'
(snip)

Drudge alleges that the young Republican "goaded Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos" and that "the prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats."

Sources inside ABC News tell RAW STORY that the evidence of widespread misconduct by Foley is overwhelming and rules out the possibility that the entire scandal is based on a prank or a sting.

"This couldn't be a prank," one high-placed insider said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the story. "Everything I've seen indicates that it can't be. Clearly there's been an effort on the part of this gentleman and another blogger...to come back at us."

" doesn't say anything about the fact that there's more than one conversation out there," said another source.

2. Drudge is the perfect name for that idiot
He drudges through the dregs, the muck, and pretends to find good things. Poor dear. And all the poor dear Freepers who follow the stench. Grasp at your straws, wallow in your delusions, support the pervs and bankrupt your Karma bank. No one cares anymore.

Drudge is full of shit.
The GOP is desperate to rid themselves of this sex scandal.
If Foley is "innocent" then why did he resign from congress?

12. and who are they using to spin, spin, spin???
why, another homosexual, of course.

hell, those gop perverts wouldn't even be able to get out of bed in the morning without the help of us homosexuals.

geez!!!

personally, i think there needs to be a concerted effort, by those who know how best, to do a little investigatin' of drudgiepoo.

surely there is SOMETHING there to put him out of the picture, for good.

we need some "tell all" homos to dish the dirt on drudge. he needs to be treated like the piece of shit that he is, and flushed down the toilet.

this homo would love every minute of it.

3. Goaded Foley????
Held a gun to his head?

What happened to the flack that the GOP gave to Clinton sayng he should have just told Monica to put her skirt down and behave herself? Nobody forced Foley into responding. He could have just as easily typed "Not approriate, I'm logging off now."

This just gets more and more bizarre.

4. Could have just as easily said Drudge is an idiot
Maybe every website should have a little flag at the top that just says "drudge is an idiot" and it would save us all a lot of time.

7. First of all, it's been confirmed that the sources were REPUBLICANS.
Secondly, who gives a shit what the kids' motives were? Is any online predator who gets caught by an undercover FBI agent posing as a kid free of blame just because the mean old cops were tricking him?

The point it, given the opportunity, Foley pursued (and instigated) sexual conversations with a minor.

9. Drudge is funny
I find his satire a bit understated at times, but this one is a knee slapper. Those tawdry teens are just out to lure in poor helpless Marky-baby. Probably Democrats are behind it as retribution for him trying to cut off their internet porn access.

15. Hmm, Foley quit hours after being ASKED about the e-mails.
He was obviously embarrassed that he could so easily be fooled by a prank. LOL!
