Justices discuss judges' independence
(snip)
Two of the court's more conservative members, Justices Samuel Alito and Antonin Scalia, were participating Saturday in a discussion of criticism of the judiciary.

(snip)
While calling attacks on judges "utterly bipartisan," Roberts acknowledged that recent criticism has come mainly from the right.

He called on fellow conservatives to join in standing up to that criticism.

"Just as the attacks come from all parts of the political spectrum, so too should the defense of an independent judiciary," Roberts said.

3. It's Not "Judicial Independence"
Use the correct term - "Legislatin' from the bench".
