China military to tour U.S. bases
HONOLULU - A Chinese military delegation will begin a five-day tour of U.S. military installations in Hawaii and California on Monday and meet with senior U.S. officers in the latest step to repair military ties between the two countries.

About 30 midlevel military commanders in the People's Liberation Army, including division and brigade commanders, will visit U.S. Pacific Command headquarters in Hawaii, tour a guided missile destroyer in San Diego and observe Marine training at Camp Pendleton, Calif.

It is the third such visit by Chinese military officers since the countries agreed last October to increase military exchanges.

U.S. military officials say the visits foster understanding between the militaries, which have shared a frosty relationship since a U.S. spy plane and Chinese fighter jet collided off China's coast in April 2001.

1. The Bush Family has always had soft spot for the ChiComms
I suppose we'll hear little objection from the right.

2. my opinion

U.S. critics of the engagement strategy say the United States is baring itself to Chinese examination without obtaining similar access to Chinese facilities and equipment in return.

9. Not a laughing matter...it's part of the global agenda
The US is finished. At least as far as the Globalist are concerned. China's stepping up to become the New World Police. They're better at it. They have no scrupples. World Banking Cabal needs better security(they're getting scared) and the US is too soft.

It's just a shift, from one faction of the illuminati to the other. "Don't worry", says David Rockefeller, "Be happy".

6. Remember bush getting that spy plane shot down before 9/11?
He and his insane cabinet thought it would be "cool" to challenge Chinese airspace. F'ck with them and let them know there was a new President in the White House.

7. Next thing you know there'll be a mineshaft gap.

I... I don't know exactly how to put this, sir, but are you aware of what a serious breach of security that would be? I mean, he'll see everything, he'll... he'll see the Big Board!

8. elite tourism paid for by the public
The US and china are become just alike, huge prison populations, endemic corruption
to their oligarchy, and capitalist poverty unleashed on the bottom serfs who are
indentured forever for their freedom.

So is it a suprise that 2 very similar corrupt powers are cozying together.

18. This is no big deal
They do this all the time and use to do it with the Soviets as well. Of course they don't take them into the extremely sensitive areas or say "this is our major weakness," but they do show them around for a couple of reasons, one to foster good will between the militaries, and two in the half hearted hope of dazzling them with our technology and having them think that our forces are not a pushover.

Of course, when you get in a Force on Force State v State fight, the US military is bar none sure to be the one that will come out on top. Its when you get into unconventional insurgencies that our troops have trouble, mainly because the political leaders are idiots and don't admit that it is truly happening.

On a side note, this whole "there is no major insurgency" thing from Rummy reminds me of the Iraqi information minister giving a press conference denying that US forces were slicing their way into Baghdad, while a split screen showed US tanks on the outskirts of the city itself.

19. You guys just don't understand the purpose of this tour
It's psychological show and tell. It gives the Chinese a hint - "Look at our hi-tech par non weaponry, don't even think about attacking us! or you will be destroyed! "
