Feingold Calls Resolution On Bush Iraq Plan Too Weak
Feingold Says Colleagues Intimated By Bush

POSTED: 3:03 pm CST January 24, 2007

WASHINGTON -- As a Senate committee begins considering a nonbinding resolution disapproving of President George W. Bush's plan to send more troops to Iraq, Sen. Russ Feingold called the proposal too weak.

Feingold, a Wisconsin Democrat, said on Wednesday that he will soon introduce legislation to cut off funding for the war. He was speaking at a meeting of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington.

Feingold blasted his colleagues for not doing enough to stand up to the White House. He said they've been intimidated.

That drew a response from the committee chairman, Delaware Democrat Joseph Biden, who said he's never been intimidated by Bush.

1. Yes!
And Feingold's right: most Dems ARE intimidated -- not by Bush**, but by the RW propaganda machine behind him that will doubtless go into overdrive trying to paint Feingold and anyone who supports his legislation as hurting the troops.

The inability of the people to see the truth should NEVER stop Congress from exercising their power for the good of this country!! GO, FEINGOLD!!

4. I'm disappointed in Feingold.
I want him to run for President and he refuses. Just shows he probably a lot smarter than me.

5. I'm with ya on that.
I can remember when Biden was the world champion punch-puller. They're all just beginning to find their fire, and their backbones. Well, most of 'em.

6. Ah... "Mr. MBNA" Biden's never "intimidated" by anyone, has he!
