2 people recently seized in Iraq suspected of involvement in helicopter shootdowns
BAGHDAD (CNN) -- An American military commander on Thursday said two people suspected of being involved in helicopter shootdowns in Iraq have been detained in recent days.
Army Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of the Multinational Corps-Iraq, spoke to reporters at the Pentagon via teleconference from Iraq.
He did not say which incidents the suspects have been linked to.
The shootdowns greatly concern the U.S. military, which has increased the use of helicopters in recent years, Odierno said.
