Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette

James Nichols has been found guilty of second-degree intentional homicide in the Jan. 5 death of Green Bay hunter Cha Vang.

The jury also found him guilty of two others charges, hiding a corpse and felon in possession of a firearm.

Pang Vue, Vang's widow, collapsed upon hearing the verdict, leaving the courtroom crying uncontrollably.. She was escorted away by family and court officers.

Nichols started by shaking his head but later began crying and quivering.

I had my doubts that he would be found guilty, given the nature of Marinette County. Lots of ignorant rednecks up there. Hell, there was some idiot in the local weekly fishwrap last week who wrote an LTTE complaining that tax dollars were "being wasted" because the court provided a translator for Vang's family members attending the trial.

Is this the same story or is there a hunting season for the Hmong in Wisconsin?

Now I think I figured it out, this guy killed the guy that killed the 5 hunters

Did it say in the article anywhere that this guy was the one that killed the hunters?

2. No, that was a different person.
The one you're thinking of is Chai Soua Vang, who is serving six consecutive life terms.

4. There are only a few family/clan names among the Hmong. Vang is one of them.

As it happens, both the Sawyer County killer of other hunters and the victim of this killing were named Vang. There is no connection, other than the animosity of some whites after the Sawyer County case, between the two killings.

In both cases, the killers were convicted, pretty much appropriately.

5. The Hmong were some of our most loyal allies in Vietnam. But what difference does that make?

6. careful. So was the South Vietnamese government
and its corrupt hangers-on. Being a foreigner loyal to a corrupt American government doesn't fill me with confidence.
