Romney swipes at Republican front-runner Giuliani

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Scrambling to make up ground on his top rival, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney took aim at front-runner Rudy Giuliani on Friday, accusing him of big-spending policies as New York's mayor.

"Big City, Big Spender," read a news release from the Romney campaign that drew attention to Giuliani's fight to keep in place a commuter tax when he was New York's mayor.

The Romney campaign also announced it would broadcast a radio advertisement in the early voting state of New Hampshire pointing out that Romney was the only Republican candidate who pledged to oppose any attempt to raise taxes on Americans.

The Giuliani camp, enjoying a lead in the polls for the Republican presidential nomination, fired back at Romney, accusing the former Massachusetts governor of a "taxachusetts hypocrisy."

1. They should have a duel, with pistols!
Zell Miller should be one of the witnesses.

2. This is when it should
start getting interesting. It's just about time for the frontrunners to turn their sites on each other. This should be one fine steel cage death match between the snarly snarky Giuliani and every hair in place Mitwit.

4. Then there is that PTSD insane McCain
who should be in therapy rather than running for President, and he seems rational compared to the others, except for Ron Paul.

5. Oh yeah,
and didn't he hire the same ad group that trashed his rep in SC in 2000?

Ron Paul is sane. But totally not going to be the candidate. He's interesting, until you start looking at what he thinks about everything other than the war.

McCain keeps fine tuning the recipe: Too maverick? okay, cool it on that one. Too hawkish? Well, just say Bush blew it and if we'd just had a different hawk (McCain) we wouldn't be in this mess.

You can't claim to be a maverick when you've spent the past 6 years with you lips firmly locked on the ass of GW Bunnypants. It just doesn't work. It may have had a certain appeal in 2000 but now? Not so much. Can't rewrite the 6 years of sucking up and have your only excuse being that you might have done it differently.

If McCain is the candidate we can be sure of a huge victory in 08.

Even my conservative Repug cousins will just sit that one out.
