Poll: Dems have more trust on child health
Source: UPI

WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- A new poll indicates 52 percent of U.S. citizens trust Democrats over President George Bush on the issue of children's health insurance.

The USA Today/Gallup Poll found only 32 percent of respondents trust Bush over the Democrats on the issue. But 52 percent agree with Bush that the majority of federal benefits under the State Children's Health Insurance Program should be limited to families earning less than 200 percent of the poverty level -- income of about $41,000 or less for a family of four, USA Today reported.

By comparison, 40 percent agree with the bill written by Democrats and some Republicans that the benefits should go to families earning less than $62,000.
