Oil Prices Surge After Decline in Inventory

Crude supplies fell last week by 5.3 million barrels, the Energy Department's Energy Information Administration said. Analysts surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires, on average, had been expecting supplies to increase by 300,000 barrels.

Supplies of distillates, which include heating oil and diesel, fell by 1.8 barrels last week. Analysts had expected distillate inventories to rise by 200,000 barrels.

At the pump, meanwhile, gas prices continued to creep higher. The national average price of a gallon of gas rose 0.2 cent overnight to $2.822.

Bush and his cronies need to fill their reserves in places like Mount Weather so they can stay there for 20 years or more.

Hard to Fathom.
The U.S. burns through 21 million Barrels of oil per day. That's BARRELS not gallons.

If we have reserves of 300,000 BARRELS that means that we have a storage of -

300,000 storage / 21,000,000 current use

= One afternoon.

7.  $2.95 - $3.13 a gallon here in Portland,
and that report that came out the other day said that energy prices are up 25% already from last year. Come winter, this is gonna go from bad to worse for alot of people. :(
