Looting a major concern for those who evacuated
Source: San Diego Union Tribune

Burglaries of evacuated homes. Cars belonging to residents who are fleeing the fires being broken into. Thieves stealing supplies sent to relief centers. Scams targeting victims trying to rebuild.

AdvertisementPolice and residents throughout the region are reporting a smattering of cases that, while not widespread, evoke head-shaking disgust.
“There's always people who are going to take advantage of the situation,” sheriff's Lt. Phil Brust said.

Deputies patrolling evacuation zones have received about 25 calls of suspicious activity since Monday, Brust said. As many as half those calls may have been unfounded, he said, but at least two burglary suspects were arrested in deserted areas of Ramona.

1. snarky sarcastic comment.
Darn those rich californians, looting each other. You'd think they were no better than...

Sarcasm aside, that is really too bad. I don't understand people sometimes.

3. Someone on the news (I think Arnold) said there was no looting
because their police and superior (Rethug) organizations were doing a much better job than those stupid crooked Dems in NO who didn't know what the hell they were doing. (or words to that effect or meaning) After they declared the Dems in NO were just playing politics and of course they wouldn't do any such thing. Made me :puke:

They're doing their best to turn California Republican. Just like they did their best to turn Louisiana and NO Republican.
