U.S. army raids nursery in Sadr city- ministry
Source: Voice of Iraq

Baghdad, Jan 7, (VOI) – U.S. forces raided a nursery school in Baghdad's eastern Sadr city and detained three of the building's security guards, the Iraqi Ministry of Education said on Monday.

"U.S. forces raided al-Kanari nursery school in Sadr city, tampered with its contents, detained three of its security personnel, and seized their weapons without providing any grounds for the raid," read a statement released by the Iraqi cabinet's National Media Center, which was received by the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).

"U.S. forces destroyed the children's toys, the doors, windows, and ceilings of the nursery," the statement added, quoting an official source from the Ministry of Education.

"The ministry urged U.S. troops to cease their random raids on the ministry's buildings," the statement noted, adding, "The raid on the nursery did not yield any tangible evidence indicating its involvement in terrorist attacks or its use by armed groups as a weapons cache."

6. I got the fact that they felt the need to protect the children with armed guards
To give them the benefit of the doubt, the guards were there to protect agains the violence that the US has done everything to stir up and not to protect against the US troops. Still, there is this niggling doubt....

8. excellent idea
I am very interested in this "raiding nurseries" idea, and may be able to help fund it.

You see, I am a former official of the Nigerian government...

9.  The soldiers must be trying to infuriate
the locals so they will take a rush at them. Then they will have someone to kill. The armed forces must be running out of things to do and people to kill. Sounds like a desperately stupid act of ignorant aggression.
