Violence Accompanies Bush Visit
Source: AP

The Israeli military fired at Palestinian militants in Gaza on Wednesday, killing three people, after a rocket hit a house in a battered Israeli border town just as President Bush began his Mideast peace mission.
...

Just after Bush arrived in Israel at midday, another rocket exploded in Sderot, hitting a house. No one was hurt, police said.
...

Before the Bush visit, defense officials said army commanders were instructed to scale back operations against Gaza militants while Bush was in the area.

...

Thousands of Islamic Hamas supporters chanted "Death to America" and watched an effigy of George W. Bush go up in flames Wednesday, as they protested the U.S. president's visit to Israel and the West Bank.

During his eight-day Mideast mission, Bush's challenge is to convince skeptical governments that with just a year remaining in his presidency and Americans deep in the process of selecting his successor, he is willing to devote the time and effort necessary to bridge decades of differences between Israelis and Palestinians.

It's hard to believe that a 'peace' mission will be successful or possible as people are chanting "Death to America".

4. his grampa helped mr hitler...
just like osama helping junyer and his nightstalker admin all the goddam time (thus causing liberals to exclaim 'darn you, Osama! we're on the same side, at least insofar as junyer bush is concerned, will you puleez lay off the threatening videos! jeezus h kerist!' and for gods sake, don't mention michael any moore!)... history, more like hushtory in this case, reveals that prescot bush provided funds for the nazis when they hadn't a pot to pee in! Yet Israel welcomes the punk like he's a normal!

3. Remember Rich Little's Routine?
His Nixon is talking to Rockerfellow, who got pelted with vegetables:

"I know how you feel, I got stoned in Nicaragua!"

Rokerfellow replies: "I didn't have time for that!"

12. "Bush's challenge is to CONVINCE skeptical . . ."
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 09:17 PM by DLnyc
These people don't actually do policies, they just do 24/7 propaganda. They don't try to get the different parties to agree on anything, compromise, work out a deal, anything useful like that, they just try to get various groups to BELIEVE they do these things. Sadly, people eventually pretend they do believe it, just to shut him up.

15. I oppose violence, but i wish every where Bush went there were very loud
and well-populated protests. The kind that shut down cities. The kind we need to end this insane war, cuz the Dems in congress don't give a fuck.

All those ambitions and sooo little time. Such a little man, the boy that would be king, with wild visions of grandeur.
