Rendell Endorses Hillary Clinton
Source: CBS 3 / AP

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell said Wednesday he is backing Hillary Clinton for president, a key endorsement in a delegate-rich state that could be critical if the race remains unresovled after Super Tuesday.

Rendell said he likes Clinton's health care plans and thinks she has developed well as a senator. The governor was in Carlisle to attend a law school building groundbreaking.

A formal announcement was planned for an afternoon event in Philadelphia with Mayor Michael Nutter, who earlier had endorsed the New York senator.

Pennsylvania's primary is April 22.

1. Ugh. I love that we have a democratic governor, I just wish we had a better one...
She endorsed him when he was up for re-election last, so that may have something to do with it...No offense to any Hillary supporters meant by that

6. Big deal. This was expected. He is part of the Clinton years.
Oh, and during the mid-term elections in PA it was well known that he is expecting to get a cabinet post for his endorsement and support of Senator Clinton. He is free to endorse whomever he wants, but as a PA resident I can ignore it and vote for someone who will actually change the politics in Washington and erase the black mark left on our party from the Clinton years.

By Tom Barnes, Post-Gazette Harrisburg Bureau
